Throttle body O ring

Since I'm changing the plugs on the car, I decided to replace the O ring on the tb between it and the elbow. The old O ring was held in place with some sort of white adhesive in a couple of spots. Now the new O ring won't stay in place long enough to put on the elbow back on. What can I use to keep the O ring in place? A little RTV, super glue, pipe dope? Thanks!

A little grease wiped onto the o-ring will help hold it in its groove.

I guess I have little patience.... Couldn't find my tube of grease, I've been cleaning out my office and everything is piled on my couch, and my super glue was super glued close. So I just used a little dab of anti-seize. I read the label and it didn't say it was corrosive to rubber and plastic, so I assume it's safe to use.

Yep. That's what I always use. Put it in about 3 opposing locations, and it will hold fine.
