Throttle body coolant hose

The coolant line on the bottom of the throttle body got ripped while putting in some new spark plug wires. My question is if i should go ahead and replace the hose? I read somewhere that the coolant in the throttle body is only there to prevent the butterflies from siezing up in cold weather. I live in florida and i doubt anything like that would happen. Should i just cap off the lines or get the hose?

i would just bypass the throttle body... it is bypassed on my car, the hose just heats the air up.
