I think i have all the parts that i need,but my mechanic said that i also need a different plastic lay over on the center consol.Doesn't that piece that has Hold Dive,Second,first,come off.Is this true, it looks like the shifter boot would fit.

 

Yes its true, that comes off as one unit and replaced by the shifter boot layover.
