The *** can be turned both ways to adjust the stiffness. I think you need those caps to see the setting.

Harder goes to the right, clockwise

Softer goes to the left, counter clockwise.

However they will spin all the way around and not stop. Meaning you'll go from settings 3, 4, 5, thyen back to 1, 2, 3, etc. And I believe I read somewhere that you are not suppose to go all the way around.

I'll have to look once I get home and let you know which number is at the notch/grove of the strut.

The guy I got them from is sending them to me, just wanted to know since I was installing them today.

These were ready to go, with eibachs already installed on the tokicos, with new top mounts
However....

I bought them from a guy who had them on a 94. and guess what?

THEY DON'T FIT!

Who knew?

93's and 94's have different mounts.

So, I am gonna have to get the springs off of these and the old ones and swap the mounts.

Fun.

Did the rear ones changed tho, I have to say I thought going to Eibach springs would give me less clearance in the rear....

And it may have it just isn't noticeable like I thought it might be.

I guess I could have measured the clearance before and after...

anyone out there ever do the measurements?

Really? What didn't fit? I bought basically "new" rubber mounts from a guy with a '94 and they fit on my '93 fine. I think... lol

And everything looked the same when I compared my old ones to the new ones.

I went to install them and they didn't lien up... I thought it was just me so I measured them and they are about 1/16 different.

They will not line up any way I spin it. I thought they were the same but not so.

Should have taken pics for you guys.

I've installed dozens of suspensions in 93-95 FDs. They are all the same. Please detail the part that does not fit, and why.

I know the upper stock rubber peice (name escapes me) d-shaped hole has to be drilled or filed into a larger circle to fit around the strut. Also the front lower strut's mount, when the bolt goes through, is sometimes a bitch to get slide into the stock mounting bracket.

No flames intended, just good info for DIYers such as yourself.

According to Ray at Malloy Mazda they are different from 93 to 94.

The 94 mount is a different part number, cheaper by a few dollars and measures close to 1/4 inch different in distance between bolts.

You say that you have to drill the holes out, that's because they don't fit.

Take 1 of each and measure them yourselves...

I'll call and get it from Ray. Didn't write it down.

I am talking about the rubber top mount for the front struts, with the 3 bolts that go through the engine bay.

The bolt pattern if you will is different from 93 to 94.
