Those with Intake/DP/Exhaust (stock ecu)
If you have just those mods, what are your boost levels at?
I just put mine on and havent driven it yet. (Ill be putting on the boost controller next weekend)
* I will be getting Fuel Management soon to those waiting to frown upon my mod choices.

with intake, dp, cb always got 10-8-10 nothing more ever until one day when it got to 40 out and then I got 12 psi but I had a pettit ecu so I wasn't ever worried about it. when you add a midpipe it's time to worry. I don't think your boost will go past 10 or 11. No need to put the silencer on. Why not just get on the highway and put it in 5th at 60mph and floor it and see what the boost goes up to. I bet you there is no way in hell you can blow your motor even if the boost goes high since you will be at 4k rpms max after you floor it for a few seconds to see what the boost goes to.
I'd confirm this before trying it though.

Each car is different - I ran with a dp, intake, cb and stock ecu for a year with no problems - my boost was 11-9-11 but that's nothing to worry about - if you do start seeing 13 psi spikes on the stock ecu make sure to get that boost controller installed and put it back down to 10-11 psi.

I don't have a boost gauge installed yet. I didn't notice any gain in power after I put my exhaust on, but once I put my downpipe in, the boost deffinitely jumped. My clutch wouldn't hold the first time I hit it. A new clutch and flywheel are going in this Saturday and after that, I'll be going for an intake and an ecu remap. I'm looking at 12psi for the remap, so I'm going to look at adding a y-pipe, polished intake pipes, and high flow cat to get there. I think its different on every car, but you will probably get the most out of a dp and catback. If you want to do an intake, I'd just do intake and catback, but some people have done all three without problems. Its always better to be safe.

i have apexi intakes and i just put on an m2 catback. I saw 14 psi on a really cold night as soon as i put on the m2, guess it must flow really well to jump up to 14 psi like that!!

Every car IS different. This is why Pettit sells boost pills with their DP just to make sure you don't over boost.
