Thinking Of Going Carbon Fiber

Well i have been going round and round with this damn insurance company and they have pretty much made it clear that they will not paint my whole car. It probally gonna come out to ( Its not our fault your paint cant be match. you souldnt have painted it that color). So i have decided i might go ahead and get that Carbon Creations kit. Air dam, side skirts, rear bumper, hood, and fenders. then im debating to leave the rest of my car silver or to paint it flat black or flat blue i really dont know yet but i will have my final decision on the kit by next week and i will deffantly throw pix up once i get it all done.

What color do you have that can't be matched?

Just get the color matched, it's not like anyone will notice if it has a different amount of metallic. It will look just fine.

Don't waste a bunch of your money on a bunch of carbon fiber stuff. If you want a "body kit" please get something tasteful like the '99 spec front end and a vented hood (i don't presonally like the look of aftermarket hoods, but they provide much better cooling), I am seeing way too many cars being destroyed by Cwest kits and other ones that destroy the car's beauty.

I like CWest but too many people have it.

To do a lot of CF parts will be a lot like getting a whole repaint anyway so I guess price it out and see what you want to do.

Every picture I've seen of it shows horrid fitment, but I guess that goes with the ugly kit they chose to knock off for it. Looks even worse when done in full carbon fiber. About the only way to make it look any more ugly would be to paint the non-cf parts a bright color such as silver or anything flat.

Also note that the fenders are not direct replacements for OEM fenders, they are designed to fit only with CC's side skirts. Which is fine if you want the full kit and never plan to change anything.

That's worse than a 71" double decker wing that's the same height as the roofline.

btw, don't the UV rays damage and fade CF overtime?

They make coatings that can be applied in the curing process now that will resist scatching and fading.

I think the cf and blue car looks awesome because it is done right. That black car with the similar kit looks like complete ***!!!

Do the job right and it might look good.

The only thing that looks good about that blue car is the BLUE doors! I don't normally comment on peoples decisions on Body kits.. However... This is by far the ugliest , nastiest fitting, horribly in need of attention kit that has ever been produced. The pics say it all. Fitment is shiat, looks are shiat, flowing lines are non-existent ( another comment i never make).

CF is overrated and overpriced. Why would you not pay for the car to be re-sprayed completely? It would cost the same if not damn close as getting this pile of doodoo put on the car. IMO Or has the insurance company agreed to pay for the kit?

well if you don't care about paint then go single turbo, and paint the car flat black. It is cheap paint to spray. I am talking a real spray gun not rattle can like SCC mag

My comments were not directed in the manner that you were/are a fashion queen And if performance is your goal, that kit is the worst thing to do

That car would look so much better if it were just blue. I heard the CF doesn't even save you much weight.
