Things that make me go hmm - eRAM

I've seen variations of these over the years and understand that some commercial trucks use them regularly. Personally was thinking of the concept back in 94 - however, didn't do anything with it similar to my thought of the Vortex in line widget. Guess I am a wannabe inventor.

Anyway check out the electric supercharger link. Interestingly no one has made mention of it. Anyone with thoughts of inline vortex generators or devices such as these?

they say it doesnt restrict airflow, thats on a n/a engine right? What about restriction for a turbo engine? It could help with turbo lag.

Absolute garbage...

Same goes for a "Vortex widget in-line". They don't work. I'm reminded of a thermodynamics prof of mine had one of those things (for a 4 barrel carb) on his desk as a example of what crazy ideas people come up with.

Turbos and superchargers require quit a bit of energy to compress all the air the engine needs, it would require a huge electric motor to do the same.
