Coolant hoses - yes, Turbo hoses - no. I have a set of the coolant hoses - I like.

I was wondering this a few weeks ago, and I have a hard time spending that much money on them for whatever marginal extended life they may give you. I mean for $300 you can buy the complete coolant hose replacement kit and the heater core hoses from Mazdatrix.

The stock Mazda hoses are pretty hardy. I could see if they had silicone hoses for, say, the turbo coolant hoses that are prone to heat fatigue. But, the main radiator hoses are mighty hardy and VERY long lasting.

I might be speaking too soon, but just this week SOMETHING happend to either my filler cap/setup or my hoses. I only have 59k on my car and running relatively stock...and something went/broke along my coolant lines....odd.

I'm going to source the problem later, just haven't had the vigor to go look at the car...it was quite a trip getting her home...and I did NOT expect this at 59k miles...Blah.

mine has 170k on chassis.....

my radiator is leaking.....so im playing it safe, im parking it until i get the new one in =]

im just going to go ahead and replace some of the hoses too.

I did speak too soon. Someone before me simply left a coolant hose running from the bottom of the AST to the Radiator attached WITHOUT the clamp pulled down to secure the attachment. This made it easy for it to snake itself backwards from pressure and on that day, break off.

Got under the car last night and saw this, pushed the hose back onto the rad, pulled DOWN the clip to secure the hose..and viola...fixed. Knew I shouldn't have seen a cracked hose at this mileage and given its history...

Sorry guys couldnt find the answer i need. Are the radiator hoses the same for the auto and manual radiators? I know the radiators are different thats why im asking. Thanks...
