Is There Sumthing Wrong W/ My FD?
I have a 93 fd with 66k miles. It has a apex intake, exhaust, blitz bov, and a rp maindrive pulley. I was testing my 0 to 60 time and i realized that the car is somewhat slow between 1000 to 3500 rpm. After 3500 rpm it pulls really hard but i'm kind of worried because i heard the fd's are suppose to be very jumpy even at low rpms. Do i have a vaccum hose leak or is it just turbo lag. There is also a notchiness shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. Does anyone else have the same problem. Thanks

Turbo lag?... syncro problem in the tranny? try double clutching it and see it that helps... if thats not it try changing the buching on the ball at the end of your shifter.
Dunno, maybe that'll help,

my first thought was what the heck are you doing at 1000 rpms? just as a heads up flooring it at low rpms is a good way to cause detonation.
but really i wouldn't sweat it, all rx7s live in the high rpms. i think the fd reaches peak power around 6500rpms. if you want low end get a v8 or sumthin.

Hey Tony, this is kinda off subject but what part of MA are you from? My name is Tony and I am also from MA with a FD. Do you have a boost gauge yet, that's the best to tell if you have a boost problem. The notichiness can be cause because of the cold weather. What's the AIM I'll hit you up.
