I was wondering if there is a poll on the database about when an fd motor went.

if so tell me about it or just post your mileage.
mine went at 72k. And! i did all the reli-mods too.
this is my second fd and to be honest with you fd fans,
i wouldn't own another one, just pain in the ***.
I mean all you worrie about is HEAT; blown this, loose that, all because the car runs hotter than most car, duh, look at the engineer that design the cooling system. In factory form, it overheats when the ac is on, blows off vaccum lines, melt other components, crack this component, I can go on and on about this. I feel that for a car that took ten years to make it to production, they should have done a better job. Yeah its weight and power ratio is awesome, but its no good if your car can't get go'in. I must say however, its awesome when everything is in top condition, even then your still worried about heat. Have you guys read the lastest SCC mag?? Well I followed the guys with their fd project car from the beginning and whatta know!! there car blew up too. Funny, even the guys(SCC,M2perf., etc) can't seem to make the fd last a long time( more than 50k) . I guess if you keep yours stock and drive like a rikkie, your car will last a long time, but then again, if you have new shoes and then crawl for the rest of your life, its cool too.
