Is there a better way to test for boost leaks?

Right now I'm 'looking.' Like it says in every single thread. 'Look' for a boost leak. Check the couplers, etc etc.

Ok, I replaced most of my couplers with new ones (different IC). Tightened down everything, but I'm still getting Veeeery slow boost build up (to 7.5 PSI @4500).

Second question, how quickly do you guys make boost up to 10PSI? Before 4500 rpm right? Not in first gear right? But in second gear? How long (or what speeds).

My FD doesn't do much until 3000RPM then kicks hard at 4500.

Whee.

You have a problem with the pre-control portion of the control system. If you are sequential, you should be seeing 10 psi by 3000 rpm in lower gears, and by 2500 rpm (or sooner) in the higher gears.

you can pressurize the system for physical problems like leaking air.
get an air compressor and an adaptor to fit over the intakes, you will have to block off one of them so the air doesn't leak out from the other intake.
then after you pressurize it, you can try hearing for an air leak or you can spray some liquid to see where it bubbles etc.
