Are there 2 different condensers available

Just tried to replace a broken AC line coming from the condenser to the drier. I received the new drier line and its cap would not fit onto the the condenser's thread. I believe my system has been changed over to the R-134a and possibly the entire AC setup too. Did 95 Rx7 have different AC lines and/or condenser?

Yes, they are different. I have a 93 condensor and it would not fit on my 94. The cap will not go on also...I think the best thing to do is take it to a ac shop and they can make it work. Cheaper than buying a new one.

But does the condenser bolt up the same way? Can i buy a diiferent condenser and throw it on an older rx7? Are the condenser lines just different or are the bolt patterns and line configurations different? Thanks

The condensors are different on different models I am told. At the very minimum there are two different types of driers that use two different types of lines; they are completely incompatible witrh eachother.

I went through this last year in converting my system, turns out I have the rare and $$$ drier.
