Angry THATS F-ING IT! Ill need a walk through for this one..

Well Im tired of it. I find a minute boots leak causing slow transition..fix it. Runs great. Starts doing it again, find another..runs great. Well its started it again. What site can I get a walk though on how to redo the hoses. How to take everything apart and such. What to look for and where. Also where do I get the silicone hoses that I need and what diameter do I need to get. Also do I need anything else (new pills ect...) Ive got a day or 2 to kill so im going to tackel this MFer. I figure its going to have to be done sooner or later espessially when I start trying to run more boost with the PFC.

One more thing that Ive noticed is I took apart my M2 intake to check how the filters are doing. I noticed oil (not K&N oil, Im dumb but not that dumb) on the second filter. Not thick, but enough to notice it on my hands, and to see on the end of the filter. Is this normal?

Well I feel a little better having (somewhat) ranted a bit. Any help will be great. When I tackel this Ill get loads of pictures and such and let you guys know how everything went.

Excellent write up on the hose job here:

http://rx7.voodoobox.net/

and here:

http://www.rx7turboturbo.com/robrobinette/

(Rob's site also has all the info on how to remove the stuff you need to get at the hoses)

I got my hose from www.hosetechniques.com and I feel that is excellent stuff. I got 40' of 3.5mm and 20' of 6mm. The sites I listed above will have a complete list of all the gaskets and tools you will need to do the job right.

As for the oil on the filter, it's probably nothing to worry about. The BOV and CRV valves will spray oil somtimes and it can get on the filters. Just clean it off with the K&N cleaner and re-oil.

Good luck on the job, I've been doing mine for the past 3 months now, it really isn't all that hard to do, I just can't seem to get enough time together to get it all done. If you devote 2 entire days to it you should be able to get it done, just make sure you have all the parts and tools you need, and be aware that you will probably break a check valve or solenoid along the way. I broke 1 check valve and 4 solenoids, but that was because I was frustrated, if you take the time to cut the old hose off with an X-Acto knife you shouldn't break anything, but sometimes it's inevitable.

I am going to be doing the hose job this weekend. I ordered my hose from mcmaster-carr, it costs less than $40 for the hose, and it was shipped 30 minutes after I placed my order! Check out this website, it has alot of good information about what type of hose to use. http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/G...sdrx7club.html

I think that that is the correct page, but it wouldnt let me go to there because geocities said that it exceeded something and it will be back up in an hour. I was considering using the viton hose, but went with the silicone, because it is alot cheaper and I will probaly have to rebuild my motor before the silicone deterioates.
