testing engine

how would you test an engine to see if it is blown or not, if someone told you the engine harness was fried. would you do a compression test or would you do something else.

help fast?

this sounds like one of those questions that if you have to ask, you should find a good rotary shop. i think rotary performance is in NC somewhere.

go to the FAQ sticky and look for the link for compression test. that will give you an idea of the health of the motor (if you know how to do the test right).

engine harnesses get brittle over time and cause odd electrical problems.
