Temporary disabling OMP

Hi guys,

I installed a rotary aviation omp adapter on my seven. Is it possible to disable the omp temporary while I'm building an oil tank? I have a power FC.

Can I disconnect the omp connector, block the oil feed of the adapter and premix for a while?

Thanks

If you didnt have the Power FC it would show CODE 27 if the OMP was bad or not there. Im pretty sure that the Power FC still reads the OMP and you can actually control how much oil it lets in. Im not sure if disconnecting it would be bad, ill let someone else chime in becuase I am not 100% sure.

The PowerFC doesn't care at all if the OMP is plugged in. It doesn't care if ANYTHING is plugged in for that matter.

You'll be fine.

Ok but I have read that the pump will still turn and push a bit of oil in the motor even if the OMP is disconnected. In my case the omp won't be able to push oil since the feed will be blocked at the RA adapter. Can this cause damage to the omp?

Thanks

I did premix when I had my old FC. I can't say I really enjoy premixing. I prefer best of both world since my car is not heavily modded.

When I go single, I'll premix for sure.
