Tell me how?!?

I took my 93 Touring for emissions today and it passed. What I am concerned with, since it is all stock, is how low the numbers were. The emmisions tester told me I fell within the Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle standards. The reason I am worried is my old 91 TII completely stock with 36k miles failed horribly and I ended up barely getting it passed.

Here are my readings:

High Speed
HC- 11 Standard= 180
CO- 0.00 Standard= 1.20
CO2- 12.5
O2- 4.02

Low Speed:
HC- 21 Standard= 180
CO- 0.03 Standard= 1.20
CO2- 15.6
O2- 0.07

I have an idea on what these mean, but since I am all stock I want to make sure everything is good.

I just finished plugs/wires/pcv/fuel filter/O2 sensor/Air filter/ and installed the FC thermoswitch.

Thanks for the help.

Man if your car passes then your car needs to breath more. Take off the 5 million cats, get a dp and an exhuast.

Not quite the answer I was looking for, but thank you none the less! And yes...I plan on modding it. A DP is next on the list, along with the Radiator/Vac lines/check valves/ the FPD and AST. I just want to do everything right before I start throwing parts at it. This is a whole different world for me coming from owning a few 2nd gens.

With a downpipe, intake, SMIC, main cat, and the stock ecu, I passed Cali emissions near the minimums. A stock FD should pass emissions easily, if it doesn't, it's because there is a mechanical problem. Plain and simple.

Why post a thread because you passed emissions? Your car is running fine!

thanks rynberg.

And why not post a thread? I searched 8 pages with no luck. I have no diagnostic equipment and I was just worried is all. So why not! I guess I was just suprised.

But thank you!

I also passed California emissions at near minimums with the same basic mods as Rynberg. It just means your car is running properly.
