Tein H Lowering Springs and Tokico Illuminas
I have a 93 base model and just completed installing Tein H lowering springs and Tokico Illuminas. I got the Tein springs for $160 and the Illuminas for $399, both new on Ebay. Anyway, the install wasn't difficult at all. Would have only taken a morning if I hadn't done my pillow ***** at the same time. A little advice, lube the metal part of the pillow ball after install when trying to get them back into the A-arm. This will save you a lot of time and frustration.
Anyway, the combination seems very nice. The H springs only lower the car about .6" in the rear and .8" in the front, but they significantly increase the spring rate to I think 392 in the front and 291 in the rear. I didn't want too agressive of a drop, and these did the job perfectly. I also replaced my front upper and lower spring seats since these were completely shot, and my rear lower rubber spring seats. I didn't replace the rear upper spring seats since these were in decent shape and needed to have the bump stop modified to accomidate the new springs. I would definately recommend replacing worn our spring seats to help prevent rubbing problems and avoid vibration and noise problems. They are $55 each from Malloy. The bottom pieces are like $10 each.
The car now handles great. I found that the #5 highest dampened setting on the Illuminas was too high and caused fairly severe bouncing on a normal road surface. Reducing the setting to 3 eliminated this.
This seems to be a great combination for those looking to upgrade your suspensions and who don't want to hit every raised manhole on the road.

It seems that several folks are happy with them I'll just have to wait and see. At least they have the warranty. Davin, your sig says that you are in san diego. Maybe salt spray had something to do with the quick demise of your struts. We'll see what happens, I'll post again if they develop issues
