Is this TCA bad.

I bought a used Turbo Control Actuator from someone, to try to debug an elusive 1-2PSI boost drop after 5500RPM. With the TCA off the car, when I applied pressure with a Mighty Vac to the pressure side, and either left open the vacuum side, plugged the vacuum side, or applied vacuum with another vacuum pump to the vacuum side, the pressure would drop on the pressure side. The TCA would hiss while the pressure was dropping.

I'm assuming it is bad. Can someone confirm?

Thanks

its bad. seems live it has a bad 'spring' inside or is incapable to hold the vacuum....

however, did you add pressure OR vacuum to the vacuum side.

Here were the configurations I tried:

Test Pressure Side Vacuum Side Result
1 Mity Vac at 5 PSI Open Leaks
2 Mity Vac at 5 PSI Closed Leaks
3 Mity Vac at 5 PSI Vacuum Pump at 20mm Hg Leaks

Pretty sure it is bad.
