taking out my tranny

does anyone know about how long it takes to take out the tranny and and install a clutch and flywheel.

depends on if you know what your doing or not. It should only take you the better part of a day if you have the correct tools and have no other problems...( I.E.: the studs on the cat stripping, leaky rear main oil seal PPF bolts siezed etc....)Have a friend or 2 handy to help lower the trans and put it back in. I would also buy a Factory Service Manual if you have not already...very helpfull.Keeps you in the right order

If it's any help...I just took mine out today. I'd never done it before but had the manual. Doing it by the numbers I had it about 75% removed when another member came over who is MUCH more experienced. From putting it on jack stands to sliding the tranny out from under the car, it took me about 5.5 hours. But then again, I'm old and slow.

I am also needing to drop the tranny. Besides the Service Manual, do some of the Guru's have any write ups?
