Taking out a 3rd Gen Engine?
I'm thinking of purchasing a Mazda RX7 Twin Turbo 3rd Gen engine. If i do, i'm gona have to travel a considerable distance to obtain the engine. My question is, how hard is this engine to take out? And how long would it be? I'm a fully trained mechanic, but this will be my first rotary engine. I would be greatfull if you guys could give opinions?

Not too bad. Since you're a mechanic, you should have all the tools. Take an 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm sockets and wrenches. Some dykes, pliers. If it's your first time, might take like 4 hours.

Simply pulling the engine isn't much worse than most small sports cars. It's taking all the accessory and emissions stuff off the block that will eat your time.
There are a few really excellent videos/dvds that show how to pull a 3rd gen engine - it should prove very insightful for you.
