Taking off the dashboard

How do you actually take off the dashboard to get to the gauges? I've heard things can be quite tricky because of the plastic being so old but anyone know of how to get it off?

1) pull the side panel on the left of the instrument cluster where the air is channelled to the door outlet. Be very careful as it is easy to break the guide of the panel itself

2) undo the screw behind that panel and the 2 other screws holding the lower panel where the knees are while you are driving, unhook the air outlet and move the panel out

3) there are 2 screws at the very bottom of the instrument cluster. Undo them.

4) undo the steering column plastic (3 screws at the bottom) and carefully separate the top from the bottom and move parts away

5) Start pulling on the cluster carefully and be patient, it'll come off.

6) once it's unhooked, carefully tea h for the back a d unplug everything. Please note that the main plugs have tabs on both sides and they need to be squeezed at the same time to be rmoved

Good luck
