Takes forever for car to warm up....

and my heater doesn't work... Would this be cause by a thermostat stuck open? Stock temp gauge always read a little below mid point...

you know, i noticed this the other day, and threaded it in another site. i think that my t'stat is open, all the time. i can warm up for about 5-8 minutes and slowly drive for about 10 minutes, and it is still in the cold. i also found out that the heater does not blow hot from the upper vents, just the floor and defrost settings.

i thought that this had something to do with the block off plates, NS and all that other **** all at one time.

i know tha tyou have done the same, what else have you thought....

My buddies RX7 warms up in a very little amount of time, of course this is reading of the stock gauge, but mine takes twice as long in the same exact conditions... if its not the thermostat, what else could it be? Ill go order a thermo tomorrow and get that in and see if it makes any difference. I went all last winter without heat, dont plan on drivin it this winter, but it still would be nice to have!

BTW it blows cold air at any setting, wether it be floor or defrost, or top vents... If i move the **** to from cold to hot side, I can hear it switching.

Before I put my downpipe in the heater is working fine but after I replaced the precat only floor and defrost setting has heat but not the upper vents just like R Xplicit's car could it be anything to do with the precat or O2 sensor??
