Tail light bulb replacement

I did a search to find some info on this but I only returned one result and for some reason it was on installing a trailer hitch Does anyone have some info on how to get at and replace the bulbs in the 93 FD tail lights? I took the cover panels off that are in the trunk but the light bulbs were still pretty inaccessible.

thanks,
Shogun

just remove the top screws and the tail lights assembly slides out. So on the passenger light assembly, grab it and slide it to your right. Drivers to the left.

There are three screws you'll see under that plastic cover. Take them out, grab a hold of the entire fixture and pull it away from the car. Don't pull directly back, pull it off from / to the side of the car (that's the way it slides). It's actually kind of tough and does not feel natural - but the light will budge. Once it's off - the bulbs are exposed and it's simple from there. Pep Boys had the replacements for me. Did it last week when I did the 99 taillight conversion. Suggestion - if you have the fixture out - replace all of the bulbs.

Thanks for the info! Do you happen to know the SN for the bulbs by chance and how many I would need to replace them all? It appears that one of my passenger side lights is out.

thanks,
Shogun

56 something..
Don't remember. There are two types. Four of the same for the red lenses and 2 of the same for turn signals - 6 total bulbs. Pep Boys has a little computer that hangs by the bulbs, plug in the info or take the burned bulb there to get someone to help.

To replce all is like $12 - then you won't have to do this all over again.

The lights should have the number on them, you can go to a local auto store and they should have a book filled with all makes and models with the bulb numbers.
