t56 trans in my fd.

hey guys. I been doing extensive work on my fd so i know i may be a little annoying at times with the questions. im sorry i just rather have the answer then run into problems and be asking desperatley later.

I just ordered my t56 transmission kit ( using a trans from a 05 viper freshley rebuilt) The kit comes with everything i need, well mostly everything. it comes with the following

trans adapter
bell housing
starter
clutch master cylinder
hardware (all)
clutch and flywheel

of course i am aware i need a custom drive shaft and a shifter and all that but does anybody know of anything else i will need in order to have this trans ready to ride? any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again guys.

I think Damian did a build thread on one of these conversions years ago and he's very thorough. Also Howard Coleman is running a t56 and has likely posted some info.

You need a custom bell-housing or a factory auto bell-housing with an adapter plate to mate the two together.

Damian's was a t5 I believe.
Howard's done one. There's a lot of info from him and others here:

Who did you order the kit from? And is it an fd specific kit?
