T56 Trans install

here are pics of a t56 trans g force made. only thing you have to modify is the shifter location like 3 inches forward every thing else is like a charm. you have to use a hydrolic throw out bearing with this setup. the bell housing is from a chevy modified for stock starter position. also includes a midplate when you buy everything.

I sold it because I was afraid of what happened to Demetrios's car could happen to me. The injector setup is screwed down in the casting of the manifold which pulled right up and out of the threads causing his car to burn to the ground last year. If you helicoil the brackets to the manifold, I suppose it would be safer. Be careful. Its a nice setup, but should be designed a bit differently with a plenum. Im getting a custom one made this winter. I'll post pic's of it when its done with flow bench results. It'll be for sale from PFSupercars.

o ok thanks. im going to modify it by putting bigger studs and weld it through the inside so that it wouldn't rip the treads right out and keep its strenth. remember its only a stupid 11 wrench bolt holding it down . i was afraid the other day i turned it to hard and felt it turn alittle more. so now it definately has to be modifyed.

Very nice. I assume a custom input shaft was made to fit the FD clutch and pilot bearing? Any more information on the throwout/slave setup. I assume you are using a GM style slave in conjunction with a regular FD clutch/flywheel? Great looking setup!

I take it the clutch and hydraulic TOB are from a vehicle other than an FD or LS1/LS6 powered car..... a smaller GM vehicle perhaps? ;o) I'll stop prying; Nice setup once again.

I bought the throw out bearing and the clutch setup from mcleod clutches so its custom from them. The clutch setup was made to the exact dimensions of the stock flywheel, it works fine for the street also. On the trans i havn't tested the car on the road yet but g-force says it shouldn't be loud on the street because its not a dog ring trans.
