T-56 trans question

I see there are alot of people asking about high horse power trans. I have searched and could not find the answers I am looking for. So if some of you could help me out that would be great. I seen some where the Howard was making a kit to put a T-56 into the FD. Is there a kit that is out now or how long till Howard's kit is out. Also what clutch is needed would it still use a FD clutch or would it be a Chevy clutch .How much does the kit cost and where could i get one. Thanks for any help you could give.

Not sure about a kit already being out, but why don't you just ask Howard when it'll be done? Shoot him a PM/Email/Call?

howard is maintaining a low profile until he has his ducks in a row. i will tell you that my T56 is resting comfortably in my car all bolted up to a dummy engine. the clutch package is absolutely super cool and affordable.

i developed the clutch w a commercial partner and beyond development will not participate financially. you buy the clutch package from them.

after studying torque arms to replace the PPF, i elected to go with something different which works better. that item and maybe the trans rear mount will probably be bought from my development partner. i will not participate financially other than development.

i will sell the adapter plate at a modest markup.

when the ducks are in alignment i will present a complete thread covering all aspects of the swap which belongs in any serious 500+ hp FD

no further info til the ducks line up.... soon.

howard

I totally agree. I would much rather someone give that as a rationale rather than beating around the bush. If it's not ready, it's not ready.
