Switched power for my plx m-300 wideband

hey guys im getting ready to install my wideband. ive done some reading and found that most use the cigarette lighter wire for power and that wiring directly to the battery is bad. i was thinking of using the switched 12v wire from my headunit to power the wideband unit. seems like a good idea since i will be routing the sensor through the shifter boot. will this headunit wire be a good idea?

there is a spare power takeoff right on the fuse box under the dash all you need is a flat terminal.
