Surging idle

When idling at a stop light the idle will bounce from about 900rpm to 1600rpm about 10 times and then finally settle in at the normal 800rpm. does the throttle body on these cars have an iac? the idle was doing the same thing on my rsx and i just took the iac apart and cleaned it which fixed the problem... the tps voltages are correct... i have a power fc... what could it be?

There is an idle speed control that if it is sticking (or 'dirty' as you say), could cause your problem. It is located on the fire wall side of the UIM just to the east of the throttle body.
