Import Something!

ok, well this is my theory, with that kind of money i would have a rex, but for 30 thousand you could Import an FTO or soemthing super rare like that! screw the supra is being different is what you are looking for!! supra's are sweet, but thats alot of money, id take the 20 G's you are about to spend. and Mod the **** outta your Rex, or get something cooler than a 3red gen, like a 94 SKYLINE or an FTO or something absolutley nuts! Import right from Japan. it sickens me how i sit at home driving my FTO in Gran Turismo 3 and you have the cash in real life!! **** man, go cooler than a supra

24k for a N/A Supra? Umm...NO. BTW, how is it you can afford to spend an additional 15-20k above your RX-7 for the Supra but can't afford to keep your FD? Oh well, if the car only brings you aggravation, probably good to sell it.

M.C. Language: A Skyline is cooler than an FD? Ummm...No. BTW, I seriously doubt you could import a car for a total of $30k. Usually it's 20-30k just to IMPORT the car, not including the price of the car. Not to mention the many other serious issues with importing a car that was never sold here.

I think you should go get your head straight and just buy a vr4 for like 8 grand or something...someone who DOWNGRADES to a prelude si should stick with honda. Besides, what NA supra sells for 24k? You can get a good TT for less than that...like a 93-95

A skyline is a skyline...mother of all japanese car in many people's perspective. But you can import a '91 skyline for about 30 grand or a bit less. As for meeting regulations...how many law enforcements actually know how a skyline looks?

Don't do THAT .... do not buy a Hundah. Come on, have some pride about your vehicle. Plus, how are you thinking about making payments on a $15-20K difference and still gripe about making payments on the 10-large that you owe the bank?

Again, I say keep the 7. Buy a beater. Third gen F-bodies are cheap and reliable. And easy to fix. I'll bet that you can find one in good to fair condition for less than $3K. Or if you must, you can step into the blue oval, but I don't recommend it. Save your money to fix up your FD ... you'll regret it if you let her go. And, I'll still be sitting here saying "I told you so ...."

You're considering trading in your Rx7 for $10K for a $29K SupraTT?

Put that extra money in your Rx7 and it'll be just as reliable, and will outaccellerate, outhandle, and *definitely* outlook that Supra, or just about any other car on the road.

you're considering to trade your 7 for a
Prelude?
I wouldn't disgrace myself like that. I would keep the rex and just fix what needs fix'n. Thats what I did with mine. (just my 2 cents)

For 10k more, there is a local place that has a 1968 z28 with 13k original miles, all original...

man, thats a killer car...

No, some are 5 speed (NA) or 6 speed (TT). But I think many TTs are automatic.

Some of you guys on this forum, make me laugh, everyone is so pro rx7,untill it comes time to buy one, then you lowball the hell out of all of the 7s for sale.No wonder people think supras are better when i bought mine it was the same price as a 93 supra tt w 53k on it . i chose the rx7 after comparing them both. Anyone that mods the hell out of the 7 and is on their 2,3, or 4th engine, might turn people to the dark side ,Supra TT that is

I was thinking of trading for a supra before I bought my PFC, clutch/flywheel. I can get over the looks, the poor interior quality(imo looks/feels rather pontiac esk on the inside), but I can't tolerate the utter lack of road feel. I took one corner and made my decision. I'm not disputing it's performance, just the lack of connection to it that is in part inherent in a large car.

Also, while the motors are more reliable, they are also much more expensive to rebuild-and they are not unbreakable.

finally, what did they cut out of the later models to make them cheaper as someone mentioned a couple pages ago?

i agree, Supras look like *** without a wing, but so do RX-7s. i personally think wingless and front lipless FDs look SO ugly. it is amazing how a small front lip and rear wing could drastically change the looks of the FD, IMO (from straight up ugly to F*CKIN amazing! ). and in the Supras case, the wing changes the look and attitude of the car, too.

just my .02

I agree except the rear FD statement...looks alright.. not fugly..

seen mine...bet you wouldn't say it's fugly...but yes I do want a wing eventually...when I find one I can live with.

I give up first a Supra, now a prelude! I have a suggestion, Go and buy a 91 Toyota MR2 turbo instead of the prelude. You still have a turbo to play with and you have the toyota bulletproof engine.
