Sunroof questions

I was just wondering if glass sunroofs on fd's are more rare or hard to find then the regular sunroofs, also does this increase the value of the car? And finally any r1 owners wish they had a sunroof or vise vursa? Just wondering before making any final choices any help would be appreciated.

The glass is is a "little" more rare, but it doesn't really add any extra value with these cars. Rarely do you see people wanting or looking to get/trade for the glass roofs.

The glass was an option in 94+. While it looks nicer in my opinion, it lets too much heat in from the sun. There was an optional sun visor but I have never actually seen one. I switched my glass roof for a metal one because it just got too hot in the summer with black interior.

I think the glass sunroof simply depended on the model and year. For example, '93 touring all had solid (metal) sunroofs (glass not an option), '94 and on touring all had glass (metal not an option). Find the model you want, with the mileage/accessories/etc. you want, and take the roof it comes with

I have the metal sunroof but I'll admit I thought about getting the glass sunroof.
Fact is the Metal sunroof blocks out the sun's heat (as previously mentioned). Its already cramped inside and I'm sure you prefer not to be cooked inside an oven.

I'm sure a R1 owner who tracks his/her car loves having no sunroof. It gives more headroom (need to wear the helmet).

I hate sunroofs on these cars, ruins the "double bubble" lines in the roof, IMO. And the glass roof is a bit more rare, but will be annoying without a visor to block the sun.
