Sunroof Maintenance
I made a video talking about re-greasing the sunroof tracks. I found some grease on Amazon, and it seems to be working just fine. - Driver's Therapy

Just go slow, buy the grease, then press the button to go back, clean the rails, and then add grease but add it all over including the back like I showed. Then go forward and cycle a few times. Do not run it till you do that; it can get stuck.

Regarding the best grease to use for the sunroof mechanisms, and pretty much any other similar automotive body mechanisms with moving parts (i.e., power windows, door hinges, etc.), I'm a big fan of Honda's "Shin Etsu" grease, Honda part # 08798-9013. It's a silicon based grease that never hardens, even after YEARS of use, and always stays slippery. I've used the stuff to restore my FC's sunroof & power windows, and it's holding up well years later.
