Um.... Just wondering. What happens when it rains on a vented hood... the slit seems to be directly over the intakes, or is it better positioned than that? I've just wondered if a vented hood was practical for everyday use when the possibility of constant water flow into the engine bay could occur. Is there nothing to worry about along these lines?

 

Sounds like a good question to me. Anybody?

 

there are cutouts that fit in the vents. some are magnetic. water that gets in is minimal anyway. this has been talked to death. do a search.

would magnetic inserts stick to a carbon fiber hood?

 

I think that a magnet would only stick if there are steel inserts in the carbon.

 

Plastic weld/epoxy/whatever magnets to the hood, then fashion covers with metal plates/or another magnet that mate with the magnets on the hood.

Just have to be creative...
