Stuck Throttle??

I drove it around the neighborhood today and my rpms do not go down if i give it gas it stays at that rpm. When I drive and shift into gears the rpms goes up and makes the tires chirp instead of lowering the rpms. I give it gas at the throttle body and pull back the throttle and it still stays there. Any help would be great!

Have you popped the hood to look around? The throttle cable is a good place to start

+1

Check to make sure you have the throttle cable routed correctly. Most of the time, that's the problem. After that, check to make sure the cable is moving freely. Use your hand to rotate the assembly where the cable attaches to the throttle body and see if it returns back or stays in place. Then remove the throttle cable and see if the throttle body moves freely without the cable.

It's not rocket science, just get a little dirty and check out some things.

I just drove it right now and i noticed it only does it when I boost, then the rpm will start to climb slowly and go up to 5k rpm. If i drive it under 3k rpm it is fine.
