Strut into Lower bolt (URGENT!!!)

Hey, Im trying to get the strut back into the lower bolt in the suspension system, the name slips my mind right now, but I dont really care because there is only one lower bolt that goes through the entire lower shock. I just cant seem to get the shock to squeeze into it to get the bolt through, any pointers?

Steve

obviously, make sure that everything is square. i.e. the hole in the shock is lined up with the holes in the A-arm. I had to keep the spring compressor on the spring so that i could twist the lower portion of the shock independantly of the top bolts. If all you did was remove the shock assembly and not the sping, ignore this step.

next, I put the top section into place first, and put the nuts on so it stays put, keeping it loose enough that it could be easily moved with a tug. then move the A-arm onto the bottom of the shock and push and pull as neccessary to line everything up.

Good luck, if i didn't explain anything clearly, just ask.

edit: (for the second damn time!! it didn't go through the first time )

i guess i was too late.

for the brake line, jack the suspension arm up. it should give some slack and make it easier to get the brake line into place. just be sure to let it down and closely inspect it to make sure there is some slack in there so you don't rip your line out of place going down the road.

for my koni's, i had to file out the brake line clip for it to fit flush into the hole. If you have konis, this may help (they were a bitch t get back into place wernt they (= )

Turn the brake line in the socket until it seats properly. It helps if you use some spray lube and tap it with a little hammer...
