Annoying.
Also, the stock "beep" warning at redline could be a bit louder
Thats why that big into-your-face-reflector

He is a dentist. So what if he chose to wear a different colored smock. Big whoop. Do you want to see his credentials to PROVE that he is a dentist? Give the man a break. He WORE a different smock than YOUR DENTIST. They are not required by law to wear the same smock.
And what is w/ your second comment? Just because he has graphics on his car,....you consider that a factor in whether he is a good dentist or not? In that case, maybe your employer should look at your car and evaluate whether to keep you as an employee.
Get off your high and mighty horse. Your opinions were rude. He (Les) may or may not be on this forum, but at least he has the ***** to put his RX-7 in magazines for everyone to look at. Why don't you put your RX-7 up on this forum and let others "judge" you and your car?
Comments like these seriously make me want to leave this forum.
If it didnt have stickers and was pushing another 100rwhp I'd take it. Its to bad the sponcers wouldnt do small window stickers.
Dont care for the tach though and I'd prob pull out most of the speaker stuff and sell it.
I guess if your into shows though thats the stuff you have to do.....guess thats why I'm not into shows haha
So here is what you do, sell all the speaker **** to get the extra 100rw it needs then pull all those stickers off and wola...it would be a cool car

realizing that the car needs the stickers for the sponsor, its overall a good car. Engine bay is really clean even though pulling off 350rwhp. Everyone has their own style, but then again everyone has the liberty to have an opinion. I liked the car when I read up on it in Import Tuner. I try to look beyond the decals.. And Im sure the tach has a specific reason its there even though i dont like the look..
Jeezus...ya know what guys...don't crack at people just because you're not familiar with 'em.
I've known of his FD3S for quite a while...he lives in California, and although I've never met him, he had some of his work done by Motorsport Dynamics, which was the first (and my favorite) tuning shop that I've ever dealt with. He's a really nice guy, from what I understand. He worked his butt off to get that car, and used the money from working as a dentist to fix it up. It's progressed over the years, and it just recently was on the cover of Import Tuner.
He's sponsored by Endless, that's one of the reasons he has the graphics on it, plus he's got an even better design on it now.
That car is a straight up show car, that's why it's entered, but I think it is one of those daily driven types of cars...he has brought it to track meets and events and such things. He might not pound on it daily, but he definetly treats it with respect.
I say lay off the guy, cuz from the work put into it, it's obvious he loves it. It doesn't look too flashy, and is very clean with VERY NICE parts on it, that I would kill to have. I'd kill just to have that V-Mount setup from Signal that he has.
If anyone should get spite for having a flashy riced up ride, it's that huge orange monstrosity that recently graced the cover of an import magazine...or the FD3S with the claimed 300 shot of nitrous.
Not this car, that has got guts to go with his flash...and a nice guy behind it.

Yikes. I could've sworn I loaded that message with smilies.

I'm sorry it came out that way. Before everyone overreacts. Consider this a formal apology on my miscommunication.
You're right, Dom, that was pretty jackassed. I just re-read my response and felt horrible before even reading your response. I usually leave aesthetic comments to myself as the issue doesn't really interest or bother me, and the times I don't I'm sure to make it seem lighthearted.
The comment on his profession was meant in a light hearted way as well, but I did a a crappy job (well, *no* job) showing it. I meant it merely as a poke-in-the rib teasing-type comment, and it came out like a flat-out insult. I have many friends in the medical profession, (I've worked there a little myself) and it's common to poke fun at the guy in the pink smock, even though it means nothing. I had no intent of being belligerant.
This guy was brave enough to put his car in a mag., so I'm sure *he* can handle criticizm. I just hope this doesn't explode, like I know it will.
As for putting up pics of my car: well, one is up here somewhere. But, nobody is going to give a rat's *** because it's completely stock.
Old hat.
Sorry.

Guys, I'm going to ask an admin to remove my unintensional inflammatory comment.
If you're concerned, please hear my... um.. plead.
I know, excuses, excuses...
As you know, the forum's been going down a lot lately. I've resorted to opening several posts at a time in new explorer windows, rather than reading posts, going back to the post list, reading posts, etc. I've found it was easier for me this way. When I respond (as I did earlier, as shameful as it was), before I hit reply, I save the post in the copy buffer. Why? Because when I try to reply, and get a ''server not found," I can go back and paste the response again and send again. It beats hitting the submit reply repeatedly and getting multiple posts.
I'm guessing I cut the part I wanted to take OUT instead of save. When attempting to re-reply, I must have sent the part I intended to trash. I probably didn't bother checking the reply since the board was giving me "server not found"s.
I *really* don't intend to insult ANYBODY on this forum, *ever*... maybe someday in the future if I feel somebody deserves it. But NOT the owner of this car, he did not deserve to have that said to him, whether to his face, or behind his back. This board does not deserve to go down the toilet, with "shittalking". I had something of a way more jocular nature to say. But what was "said" was terrible, and I feel absolutely horrible about it. If anybody has read this far into my post, I encourage you to check my previous posts to verify I am the type of person I am saying I am.
Ok. Done Hijacking nnn...nnnow.

I also like the flares, and yes they are pettit. The headlights and engine bay are nice too. But, i have to ask, what the hell is going on with the blue cougar? is he giving props to ford or something, or insinuating something about how fast the ford cougar is??lol
this is one of the less ricey cars ive seen in magazines... the graphics are a little loud but he is sponsored after all... and the rest of it is not too bad. i dont like the headlights though and i dont understand why people need a huge tach with a shift light... the sound system is probably mainly for show since he doesnt drive the car much.

That car is not rice.. its actually nicely done if your into car shows. I'm not but oh well I can still appreciate a good car. Its not like he went into a park stole a bench and have it nailed into place as a spoiler, or welded a coffee can at the end of his exhaust, hell he didn't even put stickers of parts he doesn't even have. So I think he is clear of the "rice" department.
there are also several pictures of this car from a recent show covered by www.carandmodel.com. also i was wondering if this is the same car in the Ebay motors ad that's in all the ricermags? i mean it's a red car with run headlights/hood and a big tach and (different) Zeal graphics on the hood. i would assume it is, but i can't tell if the dude in the ebay ad standing next to the car is the same as the guy in those urbanracer pics. i'm not going to lose any sleep over it, just wondering.
Looks like absolute hell. Lose the decals, rip out the speaker crap, lose the useless gauges, lose the rear wing, and lose the hidius red steering wheel and it would be an incredibly badass car.
