Question Strange sound help!! (Transmission squeal)

The last thing I could have done to cause this new noise I hear is get a car wash with a UNDERBODY WASH. Anyways the noise comes when I am at a standstill and I am in first or reverse, as soon as I try to engage the clutch and rev, the transmission (at least it sounds like its from the trans) begins to squeal a little. The car doesn’t do this once you’re in gear and up to speed. Could some water shooting at the underbody cause this??? Any ideas for fixes? You guys know I always appreciate your help

Could it be a possibility that water got in to the transmission by any chance? What did you use to wash the underbody?

Are you missing any metal covers on the bellhousing?

No I dont believe so where would I look to see if this cover was missing.. It was a car wash at a gas station that claimed to have an underbody wash as well as outside. I dont know if its possible it got in to the transmission and if so how to fix it if it doesnt eventually fix itself. Any other opinions or ideas on fixes?

I suggest you lift the car and start looking for openings into the bellhousing.

Oh, and it could also be water on the belts causing them to slip. Engaging the clutch in 1st or Rev is typically when the most torque is on the belts, so that can correspond with your symptoms too. Do you still have the stock undertray installed?

Fixed what happens is there is a small space near the clutch that can allow water in if itis sprayed. When it does and your trying to engage the clutch it will make this kind of noise, there also detergents inside. It usually self fixes after the clutch has been used or engaged for awhile and the detgent mixes with it. Thanks..
