strange "gear whine" sound comming from engine

uuugh, so its been one thing after another with this car. anyway here is the deal

had fire, repaired everything, turbos not sequencing + exhaust leak, replaced warped downpipe and went non-sequantial, after that i was unable to control the boost level (ball and screw MBC) found a disconected vac line, boost controll better but still cant keep it under 12 psi without lifting my thottle, anyway, took it for a drive after messing with the mbc some more, when i was almost home i noticed this really odd whine comming from the engine, it is constant as in alwyas makes noise, (nothing with the trans makes any diffrence, it get louder and higher with RPM, it does NOT sound like air from a leak, its very mechanical sounding, Imagine a worn out powersteering pump, that's the noise. (but i have no PS)
It sounds like its coming from the engine itself not any of the accesorys, other than the sound the car feels fine, chugs a little under decel (auto) and hunts for idle in neutral but she's been doing that for a long time (cant find that issue).

anyway, did a search , came up empty. any thoughts? please? im exhausted from this car i've been working on her for the lst 5 months strait, im fried, lol please help

alternator or ac compressor going bad maybe

or if the front pulley hub was ever removed without proper precautions the thrust needle bearings can get out of position

could be the air pump as well if you still have it.

How about removing the drive belts and hand spin all the bearings on all the accessories?

When starting to diagnose a problem, start by isolating components out. That way you can narrow it down easily.

belt removed engine started, noise is still there, all accesorys spun by hand no noise. alt is new, waterpump checks out, no smog pump connected. no powersteering pump. bottom pully hasnt been removed in several years. starting to sound like its comming from the back of the engine, it gets louder briefly when you shift from park to drive (auto) starting to sound like the torque converter, but the car still moves and drives normal. converter is also new as of 6 months ago and hasn't been a problem yet

Probably has something to do with the automatic transmission. The rotors spin on stationary gears, but I have never heard of them whinning.
