strange electrical problems

When I use my turn signals, the outside lights work correctly but both arrow lights in the dashboard flash (the right arrow is brighter than the left arrow). This happens when turning left or right. Now get this, when I try the hazard lights the outside lights work correctly but neither of the inside arrow lights flash BUT the emergency brake and air bag lights flash with the outside lights (this only happens with the ignition off). With the ignition on, the hazard lights work but nothing inside flashes.

Also, the emergency brake light does not work, the air bag light constantly flashes code 6 and my trip odometer resets to 0 every time I turn off the ignition. Check engine light flashes code 6 but I asked about that in another post.

FYI - I bought the car off EBay in December with 54K miles on the original engine. I had not discovered this or any other RX7 site before so I had no idea what I was getting into. I had the car shipped so obviously nohing was checked before hand. Anyway, it's mine now and I want to try to get it in shape (I had bought a '93 new in '94 but had to sell it after two years..always wanted another one). I think this is one of those beat up FD's I've been reading about so I might just be better off selling it.

Thanks for any help..

-Brad

A local member had this problem after re-installing his dash. One of the connectors to the dash was not connected.

Pull the dash out and verify all the connectors are connected properly.

It's a loose ground or an exposed wire somewhere.
Good luck finding it.
