strange boost problem

No secondary boost unless shifting from one gear to another. Found a vacuum hose that was popped off and replaced one that was split but didn't resolve the problem. Can't find any other loose or damaged hoses. Sometimes the secondary does come on in third without an up shift if I accelerate slowly. Any ideas? TIA

Test all your solenoids underneath the Upper Intake Manifold.
