Straight scratches on rotor near apex

I looked at a potential used engine today. When inspected thru the exhaust port, I see the front rotor as being fine but the rear has scratch lines near the apex for all three apex of the rear rotor. Didn't bring a camera and so don't have a picture.

I grabbed a picture off zerox7 posting (hope you don't mind) and drew some lines (the white ones) 90 degrees from the apex seal to illustrate this. To be clear, THIS ISN'T THE ACTUAL PICTURE OF THE ROTOR.

Has anyone seen this before and what does it mean?

As long as the scratches arent deep the the apex seal groove is within spec I do not see a problem re-using them.

You need to read his post . He's stating that they are still in the motor and he viewed the marks from the exhaust port.

It seems to me that the rotor was from a used motor. I see no problem with it as long as there's no damage to the apex seal lands...

Are there thin grooves all along the rotor, running perpendicular to the apex seal? If so this is normal, I've seen FD engine with these before, I believe they're an older casting.
