Question stock turbo help

Does anyone have a pic or brake down on how the gasket on the turbos are suppose to go on. I have a leak after replaceing the turbos and I wanted to make sure that I put the gasket back on correctly or if I have to buy new ones . Thanks for any help or links u can provide. Or evan a really detaied description would help. Thanks again.

You probably needed new ones, there's a ton of heat in that area on top of the pressure the gaskets experience. Good luck fixing the problem.

I assume you are talking about the gaskets between the hot sides and the exhaust manifold. They can only go on one way. Just line up the holes on the gasket to match the holes on the manifold.

Not sure if you pulled the studs out of the manifold when removing the turbos, but if you did, put those back in before installing the turbos, they will aid in keeping the gaskets in place while installing the turbos. Then all you have to do is tighten down the nuts per spec and you're done. Page F-92 in the FSM shows a pic of the exhaust manifold for reference. Also, pages C-90 - C-96 show the installation of the turbocharger assembly.

Page C-93 in the FSM. Call Ray @ Malloy Mazda for prices. And show some initiative. This kind of stuff is easily accessible on this forum.
