Stock motor capabilities......
I have a 93FD with exactly 30,000 miles on it. It runs good and has good vacuum, I was just wondering how much boost can the motor run with factory internals..... the motor has not been rebuilt, just a basic tune-up, but i would like to put the BNR twins on the motor and raise the power, i'm just not sure how well the stock motor will respond to this. Is it safe to run about 18psi with some minor bolt ons with the stock motor i have?

well depending on what bolt ons you have 18 psi can be over kill on the stock twins and stock motor without proper internals 10-8-10 is the perfect boost ratio and upping your psi can really damage your car if you dont know what you are doing

I would think that with minor bolt ons you will only be safe to run around 13 psi on the stock twins.....18 psi you will definitely need different turbo, fuel system, ignition, port........many other mods

13PSI is beyond fuel cut.
The stock internals are very strong, your post wreaks of piston head or all around car newb. Sorry, but anyone who asks "How much are stock internals good for" obviously doesn't know anything about this car.
That said, you'll need a standalone ECU, a beefy fuel system and a good tuner to run BNR turbos at all, especially to run them at 18PSI.
I just read that you have a standalone, so get a fuel system. The seals will go when they go, either due to owner neglegence or poor tuning or a major variable change(like running the tank dry or breaking the wastegate).
Also, you can't expect to run 18PSI on pump gas without auxiliary injection.

The stock motor/internals/seals can withstand 30+ psi, it's just that you have to change EVERYTHING else in the car and have it perfectly tuned by an expert in order to do so. You don't really have to "build" a rotary, because it doesn't really matter what apex seals that you use, if there is a lean run condition and detonation you blow the motor, period. If you want to make more power, you port the motor, but many of the high HP applications use stock 2mm apex seals due to the fact that they seal the best. If you want to run 18psi, you probably want to go with a single large turbo and standalone management.
My question would be, why do you want to run 18psi? PSI is nothing without CFM.
