Stock fuel pressure question...

My fuel pressure always used to read around 30-32 at idle. After my engine rebuild ( i haven't changed anything with fuel, other then put the new o-rings on the primaries) my fuel pressure at idle is no 38-39.

Anybody have any idea why?

I have PFC, Supra pump, 1300 secondary... that's it for fuel.

Thanks

Is your FPR and FPR solenoid still hooked up?

38-39 is normal for 0 boost fuel pressure. Is the hose from the FPR solenoid to the FPR hooked up? Check you complete FPR system. Test the the FPR from vacuum to low pressure by applying these pressure by hose directly to the FPR bypassing the solenoid.

BY THE WAY, the FPR solenoid is not needed and never was. If you have a PFC remove it, if not bypass it by running the FPR hose directly to the LIM nipple.

I'm affraid that if I bypass it i'll have problems starting it when hot. I just got my engine rebuilded and it's still kind of weak. It's in the break-in period, but when it gets hot, it feels like it's weak when it's trying to kick in. Maybe that is the problem with the fuel pressure solenoid or maybe it just needs to break in. Who knows.
