stock fog light cut off

anyone try HID in the stock fog housings? hows the cutoff... pictures?

if the cutoff is good...might be a good candidate to be used as housing for the main headlight HIDS...

you will need an H3 compatible bulb. very different than an H4 bulb.

Why not just upgrade to a set of good CATZ driving lights in that position?

adding fogs sounds like an okay idea but recently i've driven on long unlit freeways lately and visibility is awful with the stock lamps. i don't see having them on at all would help, i'd have to drive with fogs on all the time

im talking about moving the stock fogs into the headlamp position, or in fact any good housing that can be used with preferrably h4.

I recently upgraded my stock bulbs with Sylvania Silverstar bulbs. There is a noticeable difference. The replacement bulbs were $25 each at Kragen's. Definitely worth the money. The brights are awesome .

I have HID's in the stock pop-up housings. The light out put is great! Such an improvement.

I also recently added a spare set of HID's in a set of aftermarket driving lights in the fog light position. They're just ok compared to the light output of the HID's in the pop-ups. They don't add that much. The first set of HID's are really good.

I think the reflector makes a HUGE differnce in light output due to the ability to "focus" the beam/light.

That's what I'm using too and I agree it is alot better than stock. But compared to the modern fog lights, it's still pretty sad. I prefer the stock look, but I wish there was a better upgrade/modification.
BTW, got mine on sale at the evil Walmart for $19 each.
