Stock CRV (aka - BOV)

Who here, still using the stock charge relief valvues (BOV) is venting them to the atmosphere? Or if you know a link to this topic please direct. I ask because I was thinking that if the system recycles the charged air into a closed loop when the thottle is closed wouldn't this allow hot charged air to recycle and get even hotter? Thus increasing the potential for heat damage. If the charged air is vented to the atmosphere, does this reduce turbo spool up the next time the throttles are opened? Any, suggestions and or facts wanted please. Thanx
