Stock clutch/pressure plate...

well...look like the 53K miles old stock clutch had it behind a 12 psi and a good tune...slipping badly under full boost.

Should I:

1. Use OEM replacement
2. Step up to high performance, if so what are the best...

By the way what hp does stock OEM clutch good for?

TIA

Use the search function....for most FD owners, the ACT Street/Strip is perfect and works great.

I have ACT with 12lb flywheel and its pretty good (on my MB FD).

But I'm going with Spec 3 and 9lb (RB) on my blk fd. I've heard that its going to be pain in the *** to drive with spec 3 and light flywheel.

I've also driven other FD owner's car with spec 3 and stock flywheel. It was pretty nice and gripped very well. I've also driven ACT S/S with stock flywheel and it was nice on the street! especially stop and go traffic.

Bottomline, what are you looking for far as streetability?

I would like to retain streetability...especiall in Dallas traffic. But something that doesn't slip when car goes under boost.

ACT Street/Strip look good at this point...

That's a good call. Too many people overkill on clutches. An ACT offers an improvement over stock without making a mess of things.
