Stock clutch

I was curious how much hp the stock clutch can handle. I'm going to be going single soon and looking to get around 375-400whp. I thought the stock clutch could handle around 400hp without slipping but thought I would ask just to make sure.

Ha Ha! LOL!

The stock clutch can barely handle 300RWHP! Mine started slipping just after adding a DP, SMIC upgrade, high flow cat, and cat back at 11psi boost.

Search the forum for aftermarket clutches.

Aside from using the search function, this thread was near the top of the page! Crikey.

Ditto. Mine slipped witht he same mods

I currently run an ACT s/s clutch and it shows no sign of slippage, or wear despite more power and harder driving/launching.

The ACT s/s clutch was the clutch I was planning on getting if I needed to get one. Does it bolt straight up to the stock flywheel?

Go with a lightweight flywheel while you are installing the ACT clutch. You won't be disappointed.
