Stock catalytic VS high flow catalytic

Trying to get some opinion on whether it's worth it to upgrade my stock catalytic to a high flow catalytic (Random, Bonez, N-Tech).

I'm currently running at 15psi with a straight downpipe, catback, PowerFC, intercooler, etc., etc., but am upgrading to either single or Garrett GT twins. Is it silly to NOT get a straight midpipe? Or do high flow catalytics offer close enough performance? Does the striaght midpipe performance warrant the hassle of swapping on catalytics every two years to pass smog(assuming it would pass smog with a cat on after the turbo upgrade).

Much appreciated.

installing a midpipe adds huge power gains,it will become a different car, especially running 15 lbs. Also if you are not getting 15 15 15 you will. You can put in hi-flow cat but power gain is significanlty less. resonated midpipes don't silnece that much. SO choice is either straight through with midipe or HI-flow cat. IMHO

I have a midipe, and put in stock cat evey year for emissions., only takes 45 minutes, and a few gaskets. Once you put in midpipe your catback selection becomes apparent as well.
