is stock BOV/CRV elimination possible on stck. tt system?
This weekend I tried eliminating the stock BOV/CRV by capping the holes off the turbo outlet manifold that the BOV/CRV plug onto(3/4")- I've T'ed the 2 remaining vacuum lines and the 1 underneath them(1 of the vertical 3) that were going to them all to the Blitz, but get BOV studder and slight hesitation. I've racked my brain and the only logical explaination is it can't work because it's still sequential.-- any thoughts, confirmations, advice only from experienced FDers. thanks

are you trying to remove both the Air Bypass Valve (basically a BOV) AND the Charge Releif Valve? and just use the blitz for both?
if so, it won't work on a sequential system.
you can leave the CRV on there and just replace the ABV and it should work correctly.

Thanks for getting back- I tried eliminating both, so now I know it won't work. The "black" one that is closer to the front of the car is constantly blowing air out of it, I'm guessing thats the air bypass valve and the "brown" one is the actual BOV?- So hook the "black" ABV back up and leave the other hole capped? Or do I need a new CRV- I'm gettin' a little confused-

You've got it, the black one is the charge release valve which has something to do with the prespool on the seq turbo system, brown one is the air bypass valve (aka bov), what you replace with the aftermarket bov. So leave the crv hooked up but make sure it's routed through your intake filter whether it's stock or not.

Thanks for input- I figured out that both valves have to be there so I have 3 valves total. After I put everything back and having adjusted the blitz BOV, I was @ .8 bar
where as before I was holding .7 I'm getting mixed answers though, does the blitz hold more boost(raising it) by turning it inward- upping boost pressure?
Against the subject, I've been a bit hastey and purchased the HKS downpipe. I noticed that it flatens out in two spots to clear for the frame(what I thought) and have now been told by Pettit that that was for the right handed drive steering rod. I thought flow characteristics might not be to hot but bought it anyway because it was "HKS". I know, stupid not doing any reseach before. Anyway anyone have any input on this?

A BOV cannot change your boost levels. A BOV's only purpose is to release boost when the throttle is closed. It can't have an effect on your boost level -- unless it is leaking boost.
If your boost level is changed since the BOV install, then you have changed something else in the system.

The stock one thats closest to the front of the car is the stock bov, the other one thats toward the back of the engine is the crv. You can replace the front one with any aftermarket bov your heart desires but you have to keep the back one or else replace it with an additional aftermarket unit.
However the stock units work great and if vented are loud as well.
