i thought this thing was sealed off from the rest of the intake. i cant remember... its been a while since i took mine off. the reason i ask is that i had a strange idle for a while and when i "rigged" up my airbox and sealed that port with freaking duct tape it quit. the rubber cap i had on it tore.
